Calvert Interactive
Calvert Interactive Featuring ATSLive Online Instruction and 21st Century Learning
Calvert Interactive live classes meet online for two sessions per week on designated days to cover math, grammar, reading, and composition. Students use Calvert-provided technology to learn and interact in class, participate in assigned threaded discussions, complete group projects, conduct peer reviews online, and develop 21st Century collaborative skills that are important in today's academic setting (and tomorrow's workplace). Calvert Interactive teaches your students time-management skills, allows for some flexibility compared to other daily live instruction options, and promotes peer-to-peer interaction in the safe environment of a Calvert virtual classroom. Enrollment in ATS Online, the online version of Calvert’s signature testing program, the Advisory Teaching Service, is included with Calvert Interactive. Instructional Presentations
In addition to the live, interactive classes covering math, grammar, reading, and composition, students have access to pre-recorded lectures for science, history and geography. These lectures, delivered by a Calvert Online Instructor, reinforce instruction and allow for greater pacing flexibility. Assessment and Student ProgressStudent progress in Calvert Interactive is measured by a variety of projects and assignments that are suited to the online environment. Students are enrolled in the Calvert Advisory Teaching Service as part of Calvert Interactive and take modified online ATS tests. These tests provide feedback with an improved turnaround time. Your students will also be evaluated through brief objective quizzes and projects. The Calvert Interactive CommunityYour students are supported by a team of professional instructors as well as a peer group; all of whom are devoted to helping get the most out of the Calvert instructional experience. Groups of students meet in class sessions with Certified Calvert Online Instructors. Between classes, students work independently or in small groups on electronic projects that promote retention, assess master of curriculum material, encourage critical thinking, and develop technological skills.
