Assess your child's performance at home

Developed at the request of our families, the Calvert Test Series (CTS) offers parents a complete set of tests with answer keys for First through Eighth Grades. With this testing option, parents check their children’s work and maintain their own records of student achievement. The Calvert Test Series uses matching, fill-in-the-blank, true or false, and multiple-choice questions to assess content mastery.

Composition and other written responses are not included, since answer keys cannot be practically provided for such assignments. Families interested in testing higher order thinking skills, both in the content areas through essay questions and in composition, should consider enrolling their students in the Advisory Teaching Service. For students enrolled in ATS in Third through Eighth Grades, the CTS tests are included as online practice tests within the ATS online portal to help your student prepare for the ATS tests.

In Fourth through Eighth Grades, two versions of CTS tests are available, each designed to test students working in either the Academic or Scholastic track. The CTS tests are available only to enrolled students. They are graded by you, the Home Teacher, and should not be sent to Calvert. Transcripts and a Certificate of Completion are not available with this test series.

Core Course

Core subjects are aligned with the course and vary per grade level. They may include history, geography, reading, grammar, vocabulary, and art history.

Math Only

Calvert Math is the only subject for which tests and answers are provided. Each test is aligned with the course and varies by grade level.
