Introducing Calvert Skills Workshops

Calvert’s Skills Workshops, for students in Sixth through Eighth Grades, are four-week, online programs that include the guidance and support of a Calvert Instructor.

Students view engaging video lessons which are reinforced with game-based learning activities. Online assessments provide immediate feedback and answer explanations. The guided instruction and activities are enhanced by short assignments that are evaluated by a Calvert Instructor.

Available Courses

Online Grammar Skills Workshop, Level I

Designed to help middle-school students who struggle with grammar skills, Calvert’s Grammar Skills Workshop, Level I focuses on parts of speech and the structure of various types of sentences. Level I topics are taught through Calvert’s tradition of diagramming. Students also learn how to diagram interrogative and imperative sentences. Classes are open for enrollment now!

Tuition: $89 for Calvert students, $99 for non-Calvert students.

Online Grammar Skills Workshop, Level II

Calvert’s Grammar Skills Workshop, Level II begins with reviews of Level I concepts and expands to sentences with prepositions, adjective prepositional phrases, adverb prepositional phrases, predicate adjectives and predicate nominatives. Classes are open for enrollment now!

Tuition: $89 for Calvert students, $99 for non-Calvert students.

Online Math Skills Workshop, Level I

Calvert Math Skills Level I covers fractions and problem-solving skills and strategies. This course will help your child develop an understanding of fractions and will increase proficiency in performing operations with fractions. Classes are open for enrollment now!

Tuition: $89 for Calvert students, $99 for non-Calvert students.
