West Virginia Home School Support GroupsHome school support groups in your state are an excellent way to gain more assistance and guidance in your homeschooling endeavors. A regional support group fosters a wonderful sense on community among homeschooling families and allows for more opportunities to exchange ideas, plan group outings, and share in the overall experience of homeschooling! While Calvert supports the development of community between homeschool families, this list does not constitute affiliation between Calvert School and the groups represented below. A member-run group active for over eight years, ministering to the needs of veteran and new homeschoolers alike. Our goal is that member families will continue to encourage each other as God directs the education of our children through information sharing, field trips, cooperative learning opportunities, monthly meetings, yearly evaluation, etc. Address: P.O. Parent-led co-op learning classes are held on Fridays for children of all ages. Membership is yearly for a small fee, and includes a monthly newsletter. Some activities include Speak Up!, Thanksgiving Dinner and Art Show, Spelling Bee, Science Fair, Testing Center, Homeschool Information Night, parent workshops and support, Mom's night out.
